Understanding Urinary Incontinence

As the name suggests, urinary incontinence is nothing but the inability of an individual to have voluntary control over their urinary capabilities. In such cases, the person often wets themselves since they cannot hold or release as per their will.

This may happen due to a variety of reasons the most popular ones of them being pregnancy, obesity, and age-related onset of disorders. Some of the types of urinary incontinence based on the reasons they occur are as follows:

Types of urinary incontinence

  • Stress Incontinence:

这种现象不过是轻微的leakage of urine every time you put physical stress on your bladder. This may happen when you exercise, sneezing loudly, laugh too hard, jumping, or coughing.

Any activity that places slight pressure on your bladder can result in some dripping of urine since your bladder is unable to hold it in such situations. The urethra and bladder are supported by the pelvic floor muscles, which contract during coughing, sneezing and exercise to prevent leakage. Weakness in the muscles or damage to the bladder neck support can result in leakage.

Stress incontinence is more common than it seems, although the intensity of it varies from individual to individual.

  • Urge Incontinence:

Urge incontinence doesn’t have you peeing yourself every time you feel the urge to do so. In fact, it is quite the opposite. In urge incontinence, one finds themselves in a constant urge to pee almost all the time, although not necessarily wetting themselves.

In other words, they need to be aware of where exactly the restroom is and not venture far enough lest they wet their pants. This restricts plenty of activities for them since most of their time and energy is spent trying to cater to this urge of urinating 2-3 times every hour.

Clementine Ford | My experience with EMSELLA

"Pelvic floor weakness is common after childbirth, but it shouldn’t be dismissed as normal. I spent so much money trying things that didn’t work to fix a pelvic floor issue after a traumatic birth. It wasn’t until trying EMSELLA that I really saw results. It honestly made me cry to realise there was such an easy treatment and that it WORKED."

  • Causes of urge incontinence:

    • Neurological conditions and disorders like Parkinson’s disease, multiple sclerosis, and strokes can also result in urge incontinence
    • Inflammation or irritation of the bladder, especially in situations like cystitis
  • Other reasons:

What patients have to say about EMSELLA

Introducing The EMSELLA Chair

EMSELLA FDA清除,医疗ce标记和TGA(ARTG #302821) approved. EMSELLA represents a breakthrough treatment for incontinence, female sexual dysfunction, erectile dysfunction, postpartum pelvic floor dysfunction and pelvic pain syndrome in male and female patients.

This unique technology revolutionizes women’s and men’s intimate health and wellness with a completely non-invasive option.

Compared to other alternative treatments for urinary incontinence such as surgically implanting a mesh sling or pessary to support the urethra and bladder, the EMSELLA chair is non-invasive with patients remaining fully clothed whilst being a safe procedure that does not take a toll on the body. EMSELLA offers zero downtime and quick 28 minute walk in, walk out sessions so patients can receive treatment for urinary incontinence while still going about their daily life uninterrupted.

What is EMSELLA?

EMSELLA is the only FDA approved and TGA cleared (ARTG #302821) device for the non-invasive treatment of urinary incontinence. EMSELLA is effective, easy to use and comfortable.

The traditional methods of treating urinary incontinence either included daily exercise of the pelvic floor muscles (commonly known as Kegels), or invasive surgery. Surgeries carried out to fix urinary incontinence sometimes results in urge incontinence as a side effect.

  • Before

Pelvic floor muscles insufficiently support pelvic organs and affect bladder control.

  • Treatment

BTL EMSELLA effectively stimulates pelvic floor muscles.

  • After

Stimulation leads to regained control over pelvic floor muscles and bladder.

What is the principle behind the functioning of the EMSELLA Chair?

The EMSELLA Chair is an FDA and TGA cleared (ARTG #302821) medical device which works on the principle of using electromagnetic waves for treatment of urinary incontinence. These electromagnetic waves are targeted at the pelvis to rectify the root cause of the urinary incontinence.

The average rate of contractions is 11,000 in 28 minutes. These are extremely mild and pose no inconvenience or discomfort whatsoever.

The constant exposure to these electromagnetic waves effectively strengthens your pelvic floor muscles which restore its lost control. In due course of time, you can hold and release your urine like before and take control. This, in turn, sets your issue of urinary incontinence right. There won’t be any more urgency of urinating or dribbling urine down your pants since you failed to keep it in.

This treatment using electromagnetic waves is more effective than any other medications, superficial treatments, or invasive surgeries. In fact, using the EMSELLA Chair has absolutely no side effects and can be used by anyone regardless of their age, sex, health conditions, and any physical disorders. *subject to consultation*

使用EMSELLA的好处是什么?

  • Medically approved:

This device is approved by the FDA and cleared for usage by the TGA (ARTG #302821). Trusted government bodies have rendered it safe and fit to be used on medical patients owing to its extremely non-hazardous and non-invasive pattern of working.

Given the fact that it is effective for restoring pelvic floor functioning and can be used under anyone without medical supervision, both the FDA and the TGA have declared it as an authentic treatment for urinary incontinence.

    Safe and effective:

EMSELLA is easy to use coupled with high intensity and frequency of electromagnetic waves. In only 28 minutes you will have achieved 11,000 supramaximal contractions (kegel/pelvic floor contractions). It is not just equally effective, but also quite comfortable and convenient to use.

  • Painless and non-invasive:

All you need to do is sit on the chair and let it do its job. The contractions may seem a little intense at first in the initial days of usage. The intensity can be modified so that it is comfortable and you will soon become accustomed to it.

EMSELLA is a non-invasive procedure that is extremely tolerable and does not create any downtime for the patient.

    Treats the entire pelvic floor:

The electromagnetic waves are targeted at the entire pelvic floor muscles and not just positioned at one place. This causes the waves to distribute themselves equally over your entire pelvic floor area thereby causing benefits to the entire site.
